The NYC labs Philosophy
For a while, it seemed as though the web was full of site designers operating in a client-less vacuum––which is an understandable side effect of the technological explosion of recent years. With drastic increases of bandwidth and transfer speed, and previously prohibitively priced software packages dropping like so much ripe fruit at the feet of so many designers on the fringes of the web desing world, it's no surprise that there have been gross misuses of the available technology.
NYC Labs, along with many modern web design studios striving for a cleaner, faster, more aesthetically pleasing 'internet,' set as our goal––our mission if you will––to design functional websites that are based solely on the needs of the client, while keeping our code compliant with the W3 Consortium standards to ensure a sustainable future for the web. In other words, while we'd like to flex our skills for the world to see, there is a greater purpose to our work, thus we will not push for a 100% Flash-based website when a simple, elegant HTML/CSS solution will serve the project more aptly.
