Sunburst by Danis: Diamond Showcase

The Labs redesigned the Sunburst Collection website, and developed a unique interactive showcase using a custom data-driven Flash module. Developed so that the client can manage the content that appears in the showcase from any computer, anywhere in the world.

By default, the jewelry showcase plays by itself, looping infinitely until a visitor selects a product. Doing so activates a detail view of the selected product, offering multiple angles and zoom levels.

House Party, Inc: Website Design

Currently, NYC Labs is designing the front end and assisting with the site architecture and functionality for the newest House Party event. Unfortunately, we can't post many screenshots YET, but we'll be sure to as soon as we get the clearance. All I can say is that it's going to be pretty sweet.

Jeffrey Friedberg and the Bossy Frog Band: Website

The Bossy Frog Band hired the labs to create an engaging interactive experience to give both parents and kids a reason to keep coming back to the site. The site features animated cartoon characters, an MP3 player to sample the music, a store to buy CDs and Tshirts, an event calendar (PHP), a dynamic XML driven photo gallery and a screening room that features new videos every so often. The core of the site is a Flash element loading dynamic content via XML.

We also edited and animated characters for the three-minute-long Bossy Frog Music Video which is featured in the Screening Room. The shots were selected, keyed (blue screened), and composited using Adobe After Effects and Adobe Premiere.

Collectors Quest: Website Development | Print Identity Design

For nascent cable channel Collectors Quest TV, the Labs developed a robust web presence, featuring a database-driven video player and it's accompanying admin interface for easy upload/removal of content, an updatable interactive event calendar, a mailing list database and management interface, as well as branded autorespond and newsletter email templates.

In addition to the web site, we developed a full print identity kit for CQTV which includes: business cards, letterhead, courtesy cards, presentation folders, and CD/DVD mailer sleeves. The Labs also produced an animated version of the CQTV logo to be used as an intro for all video media created by the channel. It can be seen by going to the video player on the Collectors Quest site, and clicking on any of the clips there.

House Party Website Design

Go to the live site.

House Three Inc. tapped NYC LABS principal Tom Daly to design a robust interactive site which serves as a viral marketing hub for a new Nickelodeon animated series.

Based on the HOUSE PARTY logo, NYC LABS created an animation to be used as an introduction to the website, as well as the intro for the DVD containing the Nickelodeon shows.

The invite that was sent via HTML email newsletter to the 1,600 host families across the U.S.

The Labs created a character to serve as the HOUSE PARTY mascot. HOUSE PARTY Harry was used in strategic places on the both the website and the DVD to guide the young hosts and their parents through the process of setting up their HOUSE PARTY.

The DVD packaging designed by NYC LABS.

Here is the scrapbook designed to gather all the media uploaded for each host. It was designed to mimic a real life scrapbook that calls in dynamically photos and video.

As a final parting gift to all HOUSE PARTY hosts, we devised a concept for a party favor with which each host was able to add their photo into one of five scenes from the featured Nickelodeon cartoon––a lot of fun for the hosts.

DIGIZAAR Animated Flash Tutorial

For Boston based digital media marketplace Digizaar, NYC LABS first designed a character based on their logo. After that, the Labs then produced a five minute interactive tutorial walking site visitors through the process of setting up a Digizaar account and selling their digital content. Along with the Zaar character, the Labs created a co-host for the piece.

Check out the final piece here.

The last frame of the Flash piece resolves on an interactive menu, which is a close-up view of the Digizaar vending machine metaphor. Each of the buttons on the keypad take the site visitor to a specific place on the Digizaar.com website.
